First tooth

Our first tooth broke the surface on Friday. Hooray! Since then, we've been feeding more frequently at night, and have been back in bed with Mum and Dad. It's almost like having a newborn again. Zoe seems [mostly] hungry at these times, probably because she's so busy playing and so distractible [sp.?] during the day, that she can't find the time to focus on her milk feeds. I'm not sure what role the small amount of solid [that's a misnomer - its more 'mush'] food plays. Have made progress with the sipper cup, thanks to the fact that she likes to chew on the spout, and gets some water as a consequence.

Feeding is very messy, as you can see, but it is also so much fun. Zoe loves holding and guiding the spoon, then playing with it when she has decided she has finished, which adds to the mess/fun.

We move house in about 5 days.

Wow - so this is what i have to look forward to! :) I'm getting keen to feed Maya, so reading your blog gives me some ideas. I like that Zoe is 2 months ahead of Maya, because through reading your blogs I somehow feel more prepared regarding what is to come..

Congrats on the birth of your niece, Myia...what a cool name!! At least no-one will call her MEE-a, which is what people seem to be calling my Maya (though they still call her MAY-a as in the month of Maya, but i suppose that is how it looks??)

good luck with the move!
